ABOUT Dr. Amanda RAMIREz, DPT
Dr. Amanda Ramirez, DPT, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy whose work brings together physical function, pelvic and reproductive health, natural fertility, and bioethics. With a clinical foundation in orthopedics and pelvic health and additional expertise in acute and intensive care, she has developed a broad understanding of health across the lifespan and the many ways physical well-being, fertility, relationships, and healthcare decisions intersect.
Dr. Ramirez earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Gerontology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her interest in fertility and reproductive health led her to become a Certified Billings Ovulation Method® Teacher and deepen her work within Restorative Reproductive Medicine. She currently serves as President of BOMA-USA.
Her clinical experiences also inspired a deeper exploration of the ethical questions that arise throughout healthcare and family life. Dr. Ramirez completed the National Catholic Bioethics Center’s Certification Program in Health Care Ethics, serves on the ethics committee of a Catholic hospital, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Bioethics.
Across these disciplines, Dr. Ramirez is particularly interested in helping people better understand the body and the meaning behind what it communicates. Her work explores the connections between movement and physical function, pelvic and sexual health, fertility and reproductive well-being, and the decisions that shape health and family formation.
At the heart of her work is a conviction that excellent care should consider the whole person and respect the inherent dignity and design of the human body. She is passionate about offering individuals and couples a deeper understanding of their health and fertility so they can approach their bodies, relationships, and healthcare decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
